Talking about holidays is endless. Various destinations to hang out are the main target for those who want to spend their holidays with family, friends, or partners. So many interesting tourist destinations that certainly make us confused about where to go, right? But don't worry anymore because today I will share about a very interesting tourist destination, precisely at Brebes, Indonesia.

Kaligua Agro-tourism (Agrowisata Kaligua), that's the name of the tourist destination this time. Kaligua is located in Pandansari Village, Paguyangan, Brebes, Central Java, Indonesia. It's recommended place to visit. If we visit to Brebes, I'm sure that all of you know about this place. Kaligua is a tourist destination that provides natural beauty that is still very natural and very beautiful. It is located in the natural mountain which is surrounded by the green and beautiful hills. The temperature is around 4-22 degrees Celsius. Of course it is very cool and fresh.

The trip to get to the location is very beautiful because we will pass through the slope just like to reach the top of hill with a variety of big trees around it. Not only that, the beauty of the city, the mountains, and other scenery around it also looks so beautiful. Surely it spoils our eyes, right?

When on the trip to Kaligua Agro-tourism which is indeed located on the hill’s peak, we will pass a lake that is mostly inhabited by catfish. There are thousands or maybe millions catfish there and when we sow food, the catfish will directly snatch the food up till there is no food left. It’s very interesting. The lake is called Telaga Ranjeng. However, we are not allowed to catch or carry the catfish because the lake and catfish have a myth. The myth is that there will be bad luck for those who catch or carry the catfish. Maybe it's just a myth, but we as humans can only take refuge in the Almighty of God. Anyhow, we have to respect it, because it becomes one of the ways to protect the nature and maintain the local wisdom of a region.

Various natural spots are available here. One of which is a vast expanse of tea plantation. Green tea plantation hills will be immediately visible when we enter this place. We can enjoy the beauty of the tea plantation while around and can take pictures as we wish because there many supporting spots there.

Then there is also Goa Jepang (Japanese Cave) which certainly has its own historical values. Goa Jepang is quite interesting because it’s located under the tea plantation hill. So its location is so close to the tea plantation. We will be guided when we go inside because it’s quite dark and there are many tunnels. There are also several places inside the cave that witnessed the detention and the torturing of prisoners by Japanese at that time. There are several sculptural scenes/statues that describe the past situation such as the detention. There also the explanations of each spot that explains what for that spot in the past. Of course, it can also be a historical education for those who like to visit historical sites.

In Kaligua, there are also natural water sources of mountain (spring water) that are very clear and fresh. It flows swiftly and sounds calmly. Because of that, it’s called Tuk Bening (Clear spring water). It can make us fresher after walking around in the tea plantation. It’s suitable for just for washing your face or washing your hands and feet.

Besides enjoying the nature, you can also enjoy live music performances that sometimes be held on weekend, holidays, or special events. It is very entertaining us. Supported by beautiful view, fresh air, good music performances, of course it will nail you feet there.

The facilities here are also complete, such as toilets, food stalls, mosque, parking lots, hotels, cafes, playgrounds, etc. and of course all is affordable prices. The entrance ticket is also still affordable. Sometimes the ticket is one package covers for all spots there. There is also an additional charge for cars or motorcycles parking. But I guarantee that it will not cost too much and worth it.

That’s all about sharing my experience here in visiting Kaligua Agro-tourism (Agrowisata Kaligua) di Brebes, Indonesia. Hopefully, I can visit here again next time because it’s a beautiful place ever. It’s very recommended place for you all if you wanna find such this natural and peaceful place.
