RAMADHAN BRINGS BLESSING, “TAKJIL” SELLERS ARE SUDDENLY POP OUT

Nanik and Amah are selling takjil on the road edge

Semarang (29/5) Entering Ramadhan month, there are many ways to make do something worthwhile. Not only in doing prayers, but also doing something benefit materially. As is in Semarang, the are many sudden food sellers are peddling their product to the customers toward fasting break

Like in along the Banaran Street, around Unnes Campus, is very crowded. There are many sudden food sellers take advantages of Ramadhan in the edge of the street. They sell various kind of food, but takjil are the most easily found. The takjil are various such as kolak, es campur, es teller, es buah, and many more. The price are also various, but still affordable.

Nanik and Amah are one of the sudden takjil sellers who are peddling their food along the Banaran Street. Those two Javanese major students of Unnes are selling takjil such as kolak pisang and kolang kaling, es campur and es buah. They make their own food and then sell it in the evening toward the fasting break. “We start selling our food from 4 pm until 6.30 pm” said Nanik (29/5). The prices of es buah and es campur are Rp 4.000 per cup and Rp 5.000 per cup for kolak. They said that by selling this takjil, this Ramadhan will get more blessing and as one of the way to be better life. (29/5) 

The presence of those sudden food sellers are welcomed nicely by the people around them. Every evening the peddlers are crowded by the buyers to prepare their fasting break. The street also become very crowded and sometimes makes the jamming because the buyers are queuing along the street edge and many of buyers who are hunting for the fasting break.
